Built for the Archbishop of San Francisco in 1904, this French chateau mansion is now a grand bed and breakfast located on charming Alamo Square Park. The mansion is surrounded by San Francisco's most plentiful collection of Victorian architecture including the famous 'Painted Ladies'. Spectacularly crafted woodwork, antiques and a sweeping staircase grace the varied common areas. Each of the 15 guestrooms and suites are individually decorated and named after an opera. All guestrooms feature four-poster or partial canopied beds, period antiques, phones with dataport, VCRs, cable TV, CD players and include a complimentary deluxe continental breakfast delivered to your room. Several rooms have whirlpool tubs, fireplaces and partial views of downtown. The Archbishop's Mansion is a non-smoking property.

Meeting / Conference Information: The Archbishop's Mansion is a unique venue for events including retreats, weddings or corporate receptions for up to 200 people. Rental of the entire mansion includes all 15 guestrooms, the dining room, parlor, lobby areas, and includes continental breakfast. The capacity is 200 for a standing reception and 150 for a seated reception. If you don't require overnight accommodations and your group is under 30 people, we have smaller rooms to fit your needs.
