Borrego Valley Inn in Borrego Springs

The Inn is centrally located in Borrego Springs an unincorporated San Diego County village completely surrounded by the AnzaBorrego Desert State Park more than 670000 acres of pristine wilderness. Borrego Springs has also earned the distinction of being recognized by the International Dark Sky Association as Californias only certified DarkSky Community.Our fifteen Southweststyled rooms face a beautifullylandscaped courtyard and native desert garden complete with an aviary that is home to a lively brood of beautiful Australian Zebra Finches. Guests can observe native flora and fauna from the comfort of gardenview chairs or enjoy a private retreat in enclosed back patios. We offer king and queen rooms most with convenient kitchenettes and some with romantic gas fireplaces. All are tastefully decorated with authentic cultural artifacts.A stay at the Inn gives guests a unique blend of desert wilderness and pleasing creature comforts. The amazing Park is just outside our doors with plenty of room to stretch out and soak up the fresh air desert landscape and dark skies. Just to the east and within walking distance is Borrego Springs small pedestrianfriendly downtown where you will find oneofakind shopping dining and galleries. So a perfect day might include a morning hike on trails where you will not encounter another soul enjoying a tasty lunch in a friendly local eatery lounging leisurely by the pool all afternoon and meeting local artists at First Friday Art Walks. Your hosts Gwenn Marie and Rich Caldwell are former frequent guests of the Inn starting when it first opened in early 1998. They have been fulltime Borregans since 2003 and have owned the Inn since April 2006.
